Topa: Typical boat of the Venetian lagoon tradition
We are glad to present our new boat: The Topa!
It is a very versatile boat that adapts well to different uses: from fishing and transport of small goods to excursions with friends in fact it’s the favorite boat for family excursions in the lagoon as very stable and comfortable.
Born in the early 1900s, it was propelled by rowing or sailing, while nowadays it mounts engines usually driven by tiller.
It has high sides and wide and tapered bow to face without fear the waves of larger boats.
Its small size of about 6 or 7 meters allow navigation in the inland areas of the canals of Chioggia and Venice, is one of the most popular boats in these cities.
The traditional construction material is wood and from the end of the ‘900 was introduced fiberglass for its strength and durability.
Our model is from Brube shipyards, among the most coveted and sought after, it is completely restored and is equipped with comfortable benches and cushions, it is great for transporting passengers in comfort and can guest six people.
